employee involvement

In addition to direct contributions from ExxonMobil, we encourage and support our employees, retirees and their families to make their own contributions of time and money to the communities where we operate.

In the United States, ExxonMobil's Volunteer Involvement Program offers both individual and team volunteer grants, and is designed for employees, retirees, and other eligible participants who volunteer in the community on a regular basis.

A $500 grant can be awarded to a charitable non-profit organization after an eligible participant volunteers at least 20 hours of their time to the organization during a calendar year. Each eligible participant may apply for four individual grants per calendar year. These grants may be for the same or separate organizations, provided 20 hours of service is performed for each grant.

An organization may receive a maximum of $5,000 per calendar year of Individual Volunteer Grants.

Similar formal employee volunteer programs are offered in Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

Most ExxonMobil affiliates offer some form of support or encouragement for our community volunteers. In addition to formal programs, many ExxonMobil employees and their families volunteer many hours of their time responding to the needs of the communities where they live and work around the world.
