Education, the fuel that powers innovation

Excellence in maths and science education has a direct correlation to Europe’s ability to successfully solve issues in every sector, from medicine, transportation and communications to agriculture, energy and beyond.
Students in Europe need to be equipped with education and skills which are relevant to business needs. The energy sector will need more scientists, geoscientists, engineers, researchers, mathematicians and business leaders. This is one of the reasons why ExxonMobil is proud to partner with Junior Achievement Young Enterprise to develop the Sci-Tech challenge.
Running in nine locations across Europe (Norway, Germany, Netherlands, France, Belgium, UK, Poland, Italy and Russia), the programme is designed to motivate secondary school students to consider Maths, Science and Technology oriented careers.
It helps students to understand the importance of these skills and demonstrates how they can be applied in enterprising ways to tackle the energy challenges of tomorrow.
