Primary Assignment
As a Reservoir Engineer you will responsible for what goes on thousands of feet below the surface of the earth. Your role will be to maximize profit from ExxonMobil's oil and gas fields by optimizing the recovery of the oil and gas reserves. You will provide engineering expertise and support for other aspects of production and and facility engineering. You will work in a multi-diciplinary team environment with guidance and mentorship from experienced professional engineers and technologists. Work will require close collaboration with the operational areas, and routine travel to those locations. During the Professional Engineer qualification period, you can expect assignments to develop your capabilities in both reservoir and production engineering disciplines.
Examples of Specific Job Responsibilities - Assume reservoir engineering responsibilities for one or more areas operated by ExxonMobil
- Evaluate oil and gas reservoir performance and depletion strategies
- Analyze actual field data and recommend new projects for increasing reserves
- Perform reserve evaluations estimating reserves and recoveries
- Develop engineering models integrating well performance
- Conduct reservoir simulations to predict reservoir performance
- Perform technical and economic evaluations to add reserves
- Make application for approvals of projects to regulatory agencies
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with field operations personnel
- Steward business results and make recommendations to increase asset value

Qualifications Desired - Academic
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
