ExxonMobil Recruiting Data Privacy Statement

You must agree to the following statement before you may submit a resume, candidate profile or other information using this recruiting web site. If you submit any data or information, you will be giving your permission for Exxon Mobil Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") to use your information, including all personal information, as set out below.

This statement relates only to information you submit to the Company in this (recruiting) section of its web site. Click here for the Company's general Privacy Statement.

Background

You must be at least 17 years of age to submit any information to the Company.

Information collected by the Company is administered by ExxonMobil Human Resources, United States Recruiting & Employment (USR&E).

The Company collects and saves in a database located in the United States all of the information, including personal information, you provide to it. It uses this information to identify candidates for positions at ExxonMobil. It may provide the information to its affiliates, including affiliates outside of the United States, in connection with possible opportunities at those affiliates. It may also provide the information to federal, state, local or other government agencies that have jurisdiction over matters related to employment. The Company does not provide the information it collects to other third parties unless it is required to do so by a valid court order, governmental agency order or information request, or unless it has a legitimate business purpose for doing so and the third party agrees to similar restrictions on disclosure and use of the information. If the Company employs you within any of its affiliates, it will retain this information and may use it and disclose it to others for personnel, administrative or other purposes related to your employment with an ExxonMobil company.

The Company may collect and retain information on race, gender, ethnicity or other protected or special status. For example, in the United States applicable laws and regulations require the Company to request and save race, gender, and ethnicity information for future government reporting; however, such information is not reviewed in connection with consideration for employment. The Company also may collect such information for personnel and/or administrative uses. Where there are laws or regulations covering this type of information, the Company will collect, retain and use the information and data in full compliance with applicable laws.

If you are in or are submitting personal information from a jurisdiction outside of the United States, note in particular the waiver of rights provision (bolded and underlined) below in the final section of this statement.

Revising or Removing Your Information

If you think the information the Company has about you as a result of its submission through this recruiting web site is either incorrect or out-of-date, please resubmit the updated information through the Company's web site.

If you want the Company to remove the information you have provided from its database, you must log-in, select "Edit your profile" and select "Delete Profile" at the top of the screen.  Your profile will be deleted immediately and the Company will remove any remaining  information from its database.

Security

The Company is concerned about the security of personal information in its possession; therefore, it takes reasonable precautions to safeguard and secure the information it collects from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

Acknowledgement

I have read, understand, and agree with the above and further acknowledge as follows:

"I hereby consent, freely, unambiguously and irrevocably, to the transfer at any time of all information and data I provide to the Company to any of the parties identified above, including any ExxonMobil affiliate(s), wherever located, regardless of whether:

• in the case of transfers from the European Union, the country where the party or affiliate(s) in question is/are located ensures or not an adequate level of protection within the meaning of Directive 95/46 of the European Union or of any related national law; or
• in the case of transfers from Australia, regardless of whether the recipient is subject to a law binding scheme or contract which effectively upholds principles for the fair handling of personal information that are substantially similar to those imposed by the law in Australia."

I agree that I will not sue or otherwise attempt to recover against any ExxonMobil affiliates based on any alleged violation of the terms above, and I agree to hold harmless, defend and indemnify such affiliates against any such claim or suit, except to the extent that this provision is prohibited by applicable law.

If any part of this acknowledgement is found unlawful, void, or otherwise unenforceable, then that part will be deemed severed and the remaining parts will be valid.

Additional Recruiting Disclosures Associated with Submission of Candidate Information

For candidates submitting information for consideration in Australia:

• I hereby certify that the information in this submission is true and I clearly understand that my employment is terminable by the company should any of the information supplied by me be false or misleading.
• I further agree that my employment with the company is terminable by either party giving the other requisite notice.

For candidates submitting information for consideration in the Benelux and the United Kingdom:

• I certify that all the information provided in this submission, together with any other information that I may provide during the course of my consideration for employment, is true and accurate to the best of my knowledge and belief and I understand and agree that:
1. Any information provided by me may be verified through personal or written contact in whatever manner is considered appropriate by the company, and any false or misleading statement may be sufficient cause for rejection or, if appointed, dismissal; and
2. • I certify that the information included in this submission is true and complete to the best of my knowledge, without omission of any consequence. I agree that any misrepresentation, false statement, or omission, made by me with respect to the information contained in this submission or subsequent physical examination shall be sufficient cause to terminate my employment. I agree that any other offer of employment, and acceptance thereof, does not constitute a binding contract of any length, and that such employment is terminable at the will of either party, subject to applicable state and/or federal laws. I also authorize you to solicit reports from previous employers, schools, personal and other references, and law enforcement agencies. No effort will be made to contact my present employer unless I have authorized doing so in writing by way of an email, letter or facsimile transmission.
• I understand that any offer of employment is conditioned upon the approval of management of the ExxonMobil organization in which employment may be offered and satisfactory reports from all references solicited.

That medical evaluation will include testing for drug use, and I agree to such testing.
