Engineering and Design expertise for Windows Client software and hardware
- Provision of Windows Client software and hardware support to the Level 3
- Perform Windows Client software and hardware evaluations in line with current practices, including:
- Develop and maintain Windows Client infrastructure practices (GENESIS)
- Develop and maintain Windows Client security and controls models (ISRMP)
- Participate in Windows Client related projects
- Provide ExxonMobil specific Technical Training to Technical Service groups (e.g. Level 3, Consulting
The Person
- College Degree – Preferable System Engineer Degree
- Strong background in computer operations – experience in ExxonMobil operations desirable
- Minimum of 2 years' experience supporting a Windows Client infrastructure
- Strong technical / working knowledge of the following platforms:
- Windows XP / Windows 7
- Windows Server 2008
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite, Lotus NOTES and Outlook
- Knowledge of desktop security software products (e.g. Symantec–SAV, SEP; CyberArmor, Firewall, etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting skills in a client-server environment.
Desirable Skills or Skills Willing-to-Train
- Windows Server 2008 including Active Directory
- Dell hardware – laptops, desktops, and high end workstations
- Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 (SCCM)
- Windows Internet Explorer
- High level knowledge of corporate infrastructure, including network and operations
- Strong troubleshooting & analysis skills in WinXP, Windows 7, Active Directory
- NET, WMI, VB Script, & batch programming
- Experience designing, creating, enhancing and maintaining Windows Installation Packages. Following install package experience is a plus: Install Shield, Windows Installer, Wise, OR Nutshell.
- Familiarity and understanding of ExxonMobil process including:
- EMCAPS
- ExxonMobil Security and Controls practices
- ExxonMobil Management and Protection of Information (MPI)
