SAP MM Analyst (Purchase to Pay)

The Job
-
Handles problems and service requests reported by users of the
PtP (Purchasing, Inventory Management and Plant Maintenance)
processes. This includes break/fix remediation, business
consulting and answering user "how to" questions.

Responds to breakdowns of time critical batch jobs.

Uses OSS as a source of correction for reported PtP problems.
-
Responsible for learning and maintaining those SAP configuration
settings which are the basis for the PtP design.

Responsible for learning and maintaining those customizations
which are the basis for the PtP design.

Provides consultation regarding the technical feasibility of
proposed enhancements to the PtP design and their impact on
current processes.

Develops functional specifications for proposed enhancements.
-
Provides consultation to other COE process teams such as Supply
Chain where use of the MM/PM module overlaps.

Provides consultation to program development resources regarding
program corrections and enhancements to the PtP processes.
-
Implements configuration updates or changes via change management
process in response to problem resolution, enhancements or
projects.

Performs initial testing of problem corrections and enhancements.
-
Develops user and support documentation for enhancements made to
the PtP design.
-
Maintains batch job variants used in the PtP process.
-
Provides technical mentoring assistance to develop lesser skilled
team members.
The Person
- Experience
in supporting SAP R3 including version 4.0B
- Ability to work
with less experienced analysts in order to
develop SAP problem solving, support and
technical skills.
- Strong technical
aptitude in order to support complex
processes based on standard SAP
configuration as well as SAP customizations.
- Ability to learn
and support a number of specialized PtP
business scenarios.
