WINTEL Support Analyst - Level 2/3
|
The Job
-
Perform server maintenance, upgrades and monitoring of server
performance, utilization, analysis and resolution of service
problems/change requests.

Provide analysis of business requirements, design consultation
and implementation of desktop and server infrastructure
solutions.

Work in partnership with project teams to design and commission
new wintel servers.

Perform evaluation/testing of related products/tools for server
and desktop systems.
-
Perform Quality Assurance activities on server and desktop
infrastructure design, upgrades and patches (Windows Server
2003/XP patches, BIOS and Firmware) prior to deployment.

Monitor trends in operational performance to identify potential
problem areas and opportunities for continuous
improvement/efficiencies.

Provide follow-the-sun 24x7 support duties.

Provide training to support personnel on installation, operation
and maintenance for servers and desktops.
The Person
- Minimum of
3 – 5 years professional experience in
supporting Windows.
- Experienced in
supporting configuration, management,
administration, maintenance, problem
resolution and change of MS Windows Desktop
and Server family products including
XP/NT/Windows 2000/Windows 2003.
- Good technical
knowledge and understanding of
server/desktop architecture e.g. Server
hardware, RAID, SCSI, storage devices,
backup devices, etc.
- Technical knowledge
in MS Client-Server related application and
utilities products such as MS Office SMS,
Netbackup, Anti-virus, etc.
