The Job
Key responsibilities of the position include but are not limited
to the following:
- Establishing, maintaining and stewarding maintenance programs
for critical electrical power equipment and protective systems.
- Assisting in the development and review of maintenance and
operating procedures for electrical power equipment and
protective systems.
- Providing technical support for the maintenance, operation,
and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment at
EMEPMI operated offshore platforms.
- Investigating electrical system or equipment failures and
recommend actions to enhance reliability.
- Developing and (or) reviewing power system protection schemes
and selecting protective relay settings.
- Developing and (or) reviewing procedures for testing,
installation, commissioning and startup of electrical systems
and equipment.
- Developing and delivering suitable electrical training
materials for field electrical technicians
- Mentoring less experienced engineers.
Qualification /
Experience
The qualified candidate must be a
Professional Electrical Engineer registered with the Board of
Engineers Malaysia, possess a B.Sc. Degree in Electrical Engineering
or equivalent , and have a minimum of 7 years experience in design,
operations and maintenance of electrical power equipment and high
voltage systems.
Experience in establishing or overseeing
facilities maintenance program for critical electrical systems and
equipment is key. Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and
standards is also essential. Knowledge and experience in SAP R/2 or
R/3 or equivalent would be preferred.
