The Job
Key responsibilities of the position include but are not limited
to the following:
- Provide timely and competent facilities engineering support to
offshore operations to address safety, integrity and reliability
related problems and proposes / implements system upgrades.
- Optimize processes, identify performance deficiencies,
bottlenecks and troubleshoot problems in facilities at existing
installations (For example, pumps, oil and gas separation,
metering, water and oil treating, gas compression, gas
dehydration, safety systems, drain systems, utilities, emergency
relief systems and process controls).
- Review process facilities design as well as assist in the
start-up of new facilities such as platforms and assist in
operating performance analysis after start-up. Also prepare for
platform readiness for all infill / drilling programs.
- As part of Change Management (MOC) or process facilities
re-engineering work, review potential exposure to and/or by the
process facilities caused by the temporary or permanent change
to the process facilities, including their ancillary systems.
- Preparation of near and long term planning and budgeting
submittals.
Qualification /
Experience
The qualified candidates must have a B.Sc.
Degree in Engineering or equivalent and minimum of 7 years
experience as a Facilities Engineering role preferably in the oil
and gas or petrochemical environment. Sound background in facilities
technology including fluid flow, metering, gas dehydration systems,
relief systems and flares, process controls and shutdown systems as
well as familiarity with operation of control valves and pumps are
key. Knowledge and experience in design, construction,
commissioning, operations, and maintenance are also essential.
He/She shall also has the ability to work independently on a wide
range of facilities issues, including ability to research relevant
technology and previous experience of others and apply these to
problem solving. He/She must have the ability to liaise and interact
effectively with people at all levels.
