The Job
Key responsibilities of the position include but are not limited
to the following:
- Provide timely and competent process engineering support to
offshore operations to address safety, integrity and reliability
related problems and proposes / implements system upgrades.
- Design, model, optimize process parameters and other factors
to achieve design objectives as well as lowest life cycle cost.
- Develop process simulation for existing facilities or new
projects and review contractor generated process data sheets for
equipment or in development of Process Conditions of Service for
equipment based on process simulation results.
- Preparation of pre-FEED packages for the development of new
fields/acreages which includes : preparation of design concepts
of new offshore production systems, formulation of facility
concepts and producing methods, bases in project implementation,
preparation of cost estimates and budget and evaluation of new
production engineering technology applicable to EMEPMI's
operation.
- Lead / Participate in HAZOPs and risk assessments of existing
and new facilities.
- Preparation of near and long term planning and budgeting
submittals.
Qualification /
Experience
The qualified candidates must have a B.Sc. Degree in Chemical
Engineering or equivalent and minimum of 7 years experience as a
Process Engineering role preferably in the oil and gas or
petrochemical environment. Experience in process simulation
including checking heat and material balance, and sound
understanding of physical property correlations to use for process
simulations are key. Knowledge of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs),
Utility Flow Diagrams and Piping and Instrumentation Drawings
(P&IDs), Cause and Effect Diagrams, risk assessments and HAZOPs
are also essential. He/She must have the ability to liaise and
interact effectively with people at all levels.
