Micropitting
Microscopic wear, often called micropitting or “grey staining,” can promote conventional gear damage such as scuffing. Micropitting wear is very hard to detect in its earliest stages, although noise may be one of the first signs of the problem.

This damage can lead to reduced gearbox reliability and service life. Mobilgear 600 XP’s advanced design controls micropitting to increase equipment reliability and productivity.

Mobilgear 600 XP is a solution to many symptoms of Micropitting:

  • Loss of gear accuracy
  • Loss of gearbox efficiency
  • Increased vibration
  • Increased noise
  • Increased gear damage
