KUALA LUMPUR, July 20 – New car variety show, DRiVE, brings to viewers informative yet exciting car reviews. The 10-episode show is set to air on ntv7 every Thursday, 8.30 p.m. starting 29th July, 2010.

Sponsored by Esso and Mobil, DRiVE offers a refreshing, entertaining and easy-to-follow format for the general car enthusiast. Interspersed throughout each episode are helpful tips on safe driving and fuel savings.

Each episode carries a theme which is the vehicle type being highlighted such as compact sedans, hybrids, perminis, MPVs, hatchbacks, mini-sized SUVs and more. The episode opens with a car review based on the selected vehicle type followed by a celebrity car segment featuring celebrities who own the vehicle type. Among some of the celebrities who share their driving experience with the audience are Joanna Bessey, Jaclyn Victor, Dr. Faiz Khaleed and Adam Carruthers. The episode closes with a driver participation section at selected Esso or Mobil service stations where the episode is being filmed. The first customer who drives the featured vehicle into the service station is rewarded with a prize ranging from car accessories to car care products.

To cater to the layperson, the reviews are practical rather than jargon-heavy and technical, making for an entertaining yet informative car variety show suitable for all viewers. Performance, maintenance and fuel efficiency are key indicators in assessing vehicles, and DRiVEfocuses on giving viewers such information.
