KUALA LUMPUR, May 31 — ExxonMobil will showcase its comprehensive line of Mobil SHC-branded synthetic industrial lubricants at the Oil & Gas Asia (OGA) 2011 which will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. This range of lubricants is formulated to help oil and gas producers enhance the performance of their critical equipment and maximise productivity. “Our extensive research and development programmes enable us to remain at the forefront of lubrication technology. Our high-performance products, such as our comprehensive range of Mobil SHC-branded synthetic lubricants are ideal for oil and gas producers. They are expertly formulated and deliver exceptional equipment protection even under the most demanding operating conditions,” said Dr. Ian Davidson, Global Industrial Marketing Manager for Mobil Industrial Lubricants. With a long-standing presence in Malaysia since 1893, ExxonMobil's activities cover a full range of petroleum related activities, from the exploration and production of oil and gas in the upstream to the refining and marketing of petroleum and chemical products in the downstream. In its lubricants and specialties business, it has an extensive local portfolio providing high-performance products and technical services to Malaysia importers and customers. Headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, the ExxonMobil Subsidiaries in Malaysia has approximately 2,000 employees, of which nearly 97% are Malaysian. “We look forward to demonstrating how our products and commitment to advanced research and development enables us to continually grow and expand secure and sustainable operations, locally in Malaysia, and abroad,” said Dr. Davidson. At OGA 2011, ExxonMobil will be showcasing Mobil SHC Pegasus, the latest addition to its Mobil SHC family of high performance synthetic lubricants. An innovative, fuel efficient natural gas engine oil, Mobil SHC Pegasus delivers exceptional equipment protection and can help reduce fuel consumption by up to 1.5%*, compared to standard gas engine oils. Mobil SHC Pegasus also offers the potential to increase oil drain intervals by nearly four times longer than standard natural gas engine oils, minimizing waste oil and reducing downtime. It can help oil and gas producers enhance their operational efficiency, productivity, and safety by reducing the time, maintenance engineers, off-shore and on, need to spend servicing equipment. “Meeting the rising global energy demands will be a continuing goal for the industry,” said Dr. Davidson. “Our exceptional product line of oils and greases will help oil and gas producers achieve growing production targets in this challenging market.” To assist with the ever-rising global demand for reliable energy supplies, ExxonMobil has a global network of distributors that can help ensure that products are available worldwide and in remote locations. ExxonMobil will exhibit its product and service offerings at OGA 2011, Kuala Lumpur Convention Center, Hall 2, booth no. 2501, from June 1 - 3. * The fuel efficiency of Mobil SHC Pegasus relates solely to the fluid performance when compared to ExxonMobil's standard SAE 40 natural gas engine oils. The technology used in Mobil SHC Pegasus demonstrated up to a 1.5% increase in fuel efficiency compared to Mobil Pegasus 1005 and 805 series when tested in standard natural gas engine applications under controlled conditions. Efficiency improvements will vary based on operating conditions. The energy efficiency claim for this product is based on test results on the use of the fluid conducted in accordance with all applicable industry standards and protocols.
