ExxonMobil has a long tradition of making a positive contribution in the communities where we operate. Through our employee volunteers, the company’s contributions and sponsorships, many needs are addressed in the Baton Rouge area.

In 2005, direct corporate contributions from ExxonMobil Baton Rouge totaled some $900,000. In addition to this, we encourage and support our employees and retirees who chose to make their own contributions of time and money to community activities. ExxonMobil Corporation matches their personal donations through the following programs:
- The Educational Matching Gift Program matches employees’ donations to Louisiana State University and Southern University.
- The Cultural Matching Gift Program benefits such organizations as Louisiana Art and Science Museum.
- The Volunteer Involvement Program (VIP) allows our employees, individually or on a team, to apply for $500 grants each year to benefit nonprofit organizations where they volunteer.

Our employees spend countless hours helping nonprofit organizations and schools in the area through the following teams:
- ExxonMobil Community Involvement Through Employees (ExC!TE)
- ExxonMobil Community Outreach Team (EMCOT)
- ExxonMobil Ambassadors Committed to Education (ACE)
We organize plant tours for the community (students fourth grade and older may participate). Call 225-977-TOUR (8687) at least two weeks in advance to make a reservation. To talk to a tour office representative directly, call on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
