A week after Esso Norge AS started distribution of Autodiesel B5 (a blend with up to 5% of biodiesel) from its refinery at Slagentangen outside Tønsberg, the company has as of 19 April extended its deliveries to 50 new Esso stations in eastern Norway.

Diesel deliveries including this new product now go to 120 Esso stations as well as other customers over big parts of eastern Norway. This new diesel product will hereafter represent around 40% of Esso’s autodiesel sales.

During the summer, the Slagen refinery will also be capable of supplying Autodiesel B5 by ships to other terminals along the coast. Then an even bigger part of the market could be supplied with this product.
