ExxonMobil with new addition to the oil exhibit at the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology

On 17 November the Minister of Petroleum and Energy Thorhild Widvey officially opened the third part of the ExxonMobil sponsored oil exhibit at the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology in Oslo. ExxonMobil has been the main sponsor for the oil exhibit at the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology since 1999. Through this cooperation the company aims at contributing to increased interest for and recruitment to science and technology among young people.

- We hope to stimulate the curiosity of the visitors and invite to learning by playing, Managing Director Kathy Pepper of ExxonMobil said. The visitors have the chance to test their general knowledge and take part in interactive experiences linked to technology and energy challenges.

The stand consists of three interactive activities; the Energy Quiz, the Energy Balance and the Energy Journey. The Energy Quiz is an interactive game where two participants compete about who knows most about energy and technology. In the Energy Balance the task is to supply the country Energia with sufficient energy within a certain cost frame. The Energy Journey shows through short videos from ExxonMobil activities around the world.

ExxonMobil has previously contributed to the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology's oil exhibit with "The Hunt for Oil" which focuses on geology, and "Good at the Bottom" which shows subsea technology.
