Energy efficiency award to Slagen

As a recognition of excellent energy efficiency in operation of the refinery in 2008, and a world class Energy Intensity Index, Slagen has received an award from the EM management in Refining.

The Energy Intensity Index calculates the relation between the actual energy consumption and the amount of energy an average refinery would have used to process the same amount and type of crude oil which Slagen does, and producing the same type of products.

Slagen turned out second among all EM’s 32 refineries, and was by Solomon, rated in the upper quartile – this means Slagen is among the 25% best refineries in the world.

Solomon is a high ranking benchmarking company which compares refineries globally in different fields like energy efficiency.
