Intrumentation Apprentice

I am an Instrumentation apprentice currently in my third year. I decide that an apprenticeship with ExxonMobil was the correct choice for me after looking into many different careers. I did not think about going into engineering until I was made aware of the career prospects that an ExxonMobil apprenticeship can offer. With ExxonMobil the benefits are great such as the shares scheme and 20 driving lessons and 2 tests being paid for. Your college travel and parking is also reimbursed.

ExxonMobil will provide you with a great opportunity to learn a trade and work with the most experienced and knowledgeable technicians in the area. As well as completing your NVQ you will get experience of working on all the different blocks in the refinery learning about all the varied types of equipment and safety schemes that are running.

The opportunity to learn your trade as well as carry on with your studies is also a major plus. You will get the chance to complete the BTEC Diploma in Engineering and the first year of the HNC at Solent University.

Overall you will not find a better apprenticeship with all the benefits and learning than the one you will get here.

I have enjoyed many things about my apprenticeship, since I started work I have made many friends and enjoyed working with everyone. The experience of working with others and working on my own has given me good experience to now go on and further my career.
