Mechanical Apprentice
Since starting my apprenticeship I have learnt many skills, both practical and theoretical. As an apprentice you learn the principles of mechanical equipment, how it works and how to repair it. Some of the equipment you could be working on includes, pumps, turbines, compressors, valves etc. These are situated all over the refinery on the various process units. I have found the apprenticeship to be beneficial to my career as it has enabled me to gain practical knowledge, alongside my further education. It has also given me many opportunities to get involved with company events and involvement within the local community.
