Safety is the top priority in all our operations. Our goal is to drive injuries, occupational illnesses and operational incidents as close to zero as possible and to strive for a work environment where ‘Nobody Gets Hurt’.

We know that our operations involve potential risks but these risks can be substantially reduced if managed properly. That's why we spend considerable time, effort and money on recognising and eliminating hazards before they lead to an accident - and our investment has been rewarded.

Our strong safety record has been recognised by, amongst others, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), the British Safety Council and the Chemical Industries Association.

In 2006, there were 47 recordable (worse than first-aid treatment) injuries to employees and contractors in the UK and Ireland, of which six were lost-time injuries. A lost-time injury is when work days are lost due to job-related injury or illness.
