Clinton Borough
Clinton is a quintessential American small town. The South Branch of the Raritan spills over a dam, which separates two landmarks: The Clinton Historical Museum, home of the red mill; and the Hunterdon Art Center, which is housed in a stone mill. Clinton's bustling main street boasts fine restaurants, antique shops and other interesting stores. Among its many celebrations, the town annually hosts Dickens Days the weekend after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Parade the first weekend in December.
Clinton Township
Situated at the intersection of Routes 31 and 78, Clinton Township blends rural charm with a bustling commercial environment. It is home to Round Valley Reservoir and the surrounding state park, which offers swimming, camping, boating, fishing, hiking and picnicking. The Hunterdon County Arboretum, a 63-acre park with greenhouse and formal gardens, is also located in Clinton Township, as is the county's only public golf course, Beaver Brook Country Club.
