Your Assignment
ExxonMobil Chemical Global Technology develops and applies petrochemical process technology to bring chemical and polymer products to our customers in industries such as automotive, building construction, and packaging. Depending on the organization in which you start, you would hold one of the following assignments:- Develop and scale up new processes for petrochemicals or polymers.
- Provide advanced technical support to solving problems in ExxonMobil Chemical’s manufacturing facilities.
Your Responsibilities
Depending on your initial assignment, your responsibilities might include any of the following:- Design and execute process scale-up programs using laboratory and pilot-scale equipment.
- Coordinate and improve the use of high-throughput experimentation tools and workflows to rapidly analyze the performance of new or existing catalysts.
- Develop kinetic, thermodynamic, and/or transport models to translate experimental results at smaller scale into commercial-scale designs.
- Develop steady-state, mass-and-energy balance models to support new process development, expansion of existing manufacturing facilities, or operation of existing manufacturing facilities.
- Design and execute experimental programs at the laboratory, pilot-plant, or manufacturing-plant level to find the root cause of manufacturing problems such as equipment fouling or off-specification product quality.
- Design and execute experimental programs at the laboratory, pilot-plant, or manufacturing-plant level to drive yield, capacity, or product improvements in the operation of existing manufacturing facilities.
