Primary Assignment
You will work as a junior
process designer under the direction of an experienced Process Design
Engineer. You will be involved in taking an identified problem or opportunity
associated with some facet of operations, examining alternative solutions,
selecting the optimum solution and preparing a complete process design for
facilities modification or addition.
Examples of Specific Job Responsibilities
Working
as a member of a team of engineers, you will carry out engineering studies and
develop process designs for new and revamped refinery process facilities for
ExxonMobil's refineries. Project examples include facilities for removal of
sulfur from gasoline and diesel, co-generation of steam and electricity, and
facilities to improve crude oil processing flexibility at our refineries.
You will apply chemical engineering principles to the design of reactors,
fractionation towers, heat exchanger networks and safety/environmental
facilities. This includes completing mass and energy balances, pressure
balances, optimizing energy consumption and preparation of design flow plans.

Qualifications Desired
Academic Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering
Other Sound reasoning ability, high level of self-initiative,
strong desire to acquire new knowledge and skills through self-study of
Company standards and design methods.
