Primary Assignment

Working in a team environment and progressively advancing into senior analytical and supervisory positions, you will be expected to prepare, analyze, interpret and communicate financial results to management and maintain effective business controls.

As a valuable member of the Controller's Department, you will spend three to five years gaining exposure to a variety of accounting experiences through a series of job rotations.

The Controller's department is responsible for the accounting, reporting and business controls for the company and works closely with the company's natural resources, refining, marketing and chemicals businesses and with corporate management.

Examples of Specific Job Responsibilities

Dependent upon your specific assignment, examples of responsibilities may include:

• Assessment of business controls, recommendations for improvement to management and implementation of new processes.

• Internal performance reporting and analysis for business unit management

• External reporting and analysis in corporate Controller's division.

• Member of Internal Audit team responsible for assessing overall controls environment.

• Team leader supporting daily business processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Participation in corporate tax projects.

Qualifications Desired

Academic

• Bachelor's or masters degree in a business discipline.

• Current enrollment in accounting certification program.

• CMA/CGA: eligible to write entrance exam within 1 year of graduation.

• Commitment to attain accounting designation within 5 years.
