Primary Assignments
You will be part of a global team of Electrical Power System engineers working
in support of the refining of crude oil and the manufacture of petrochemicals.
You will apply your Electrical Engineering and project management skills in a
team environment, working with experienced technical and process personnel, to
solve problems involving power generation, distribution and control. This
includes project development, systems life-cycle support, operations support,
continuous-improvement initiatives and applied R&D.
Examples of Specific Job Responsibilities
Undertake onsite training assignments at manufacturing sites all over the
globe.
Interface with site engineering groups on larger projects and maintenance
turnarounds.
Help sites plan and execute key maintenance activities and develop predictive
and preventive maintenance strategies for electrical equipment.
Act as Owner's Engineer for major projects, resident in the Engineering
Contractor's Office
Lead project construction and startup teams
Conceptualize, develop and implement projects required to upgrade power
systems to improve reliability and performance and to expand plant capacity as
well as provide reliable power supply to new facilities.
Propose, conduct and document power system studies using computer tools.
Search for opportunities to utilize new power system technologies.

Qualifications Desired Academic Bachelor's with Power System electives or, preferably,
a Master's Degree in Electrical Power Engineering.
Other Sound reasoning ability, good communication skills, high
level of motivation and initiative, strong desire to acquire new knowledge and
skills
