Extensive consumer research and market intelligence in the early 90's launched
our journey to build the best possible convenience retailing chain. Since
then, we've passed many milestones, yet our path is the same. Learn from our
customers, evolve, succeed and grow.
October, 2004. Bengal Traders Coffee program launches.
March, 2004. The 1,000th On the Run store opens in Elmira, NY.
November, 2003. Convenience Store Decisions names
On the Run "Chain of the Year."
March, 2001. On the Run billboard advertising wins ADDY award.
August, 2000. Post-merger, ExxonMobil announces the selection of On
the Run as its global flagship store brand. The On the Run concept
now features the best of ExxonMobil's premier convenience offers -- including
features from Exxon Tigermarket.
July, 1999. Named "Best C-Store Concept" by Convenience
Store Decisions.
August, 1998. Cited for "Best Coffee Layout Industry" by
Convenience Store Decisions.
July, 1997. The On the Run franchise offering is launched in
compliance with state and federal franchise laws.
January, 1996. First international location opens in Mexico City.
July, 1994. First On the Run test store opens at a Mobil station
in Holden, MA.
Future Plans
Opening new stores figures prominently in our five-year plan, since scale
helps maintain a strong brand and financially healthy franchisees. As we
expand, we expect our stores to maintain On the Run's high-quality
reputation. We aim to be best in class in the markets where we compete.
