ExxonMobil Basestocks grows branded distributor network with EMB (Shanghai) Petrochemical Co. Ltd in south China

DONGGUAN, CHINA – ExxonMobil Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. (EMAPPL) has announced that it has appointed EMB (Shanghai) Petrochemical Co. Ltd (EMB), a joint venture between Quality Logistic Services Australia (QLSA) and SBC Petrochemical, as its base stocks distributor for South China. EMB will be offering a range of ExxonMobil base stocks in South China, primarily in the Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Hunan, Jiangxi and Hainan provinces.

As a branded distributor, EMB adheres to ExxonMobil’s Brand and Product Integrity Management System consisting of six foundational pillars: Quality, Performance, Representation, Regulatory Compliance, Customer Experience and Brand Identity. QLSA, who holds a majority share in EMB, has been distributing ExxonMobil base stocks in Australia since 2011 and in Malaysia since 2020.

“We are excited to expand our relationship with QLSA via EMB to reach a wider range of customers in the southern part of China,” said Raymond Wong, ExxonMobil Asia Pacific Basestocks and Waxes Sales Director.  “This will help enhance our overall offer in the largest market in Asia Pacific.”

“Lubricant producers in South China can now access ExxonMobil’s EHC Group II base stocks slates. These base stock slates are globally recognized as capable of blending a very wide range of lubricants via a plenitude of approved formulations,” said EMB’s General Manager Gary Fang. “With this appointment, ExxonMobil base stocks will be available in Dongguan for blenders with best-in-class customer service, supply chain and technical support from the ExxonMobil and EMB team.”
