Bangalore Technology Center
ExxonMobil has offices in India in Bengaluru, Mumbai and the National Capital Region. These offices support the upstream, downstream and chemical businesses as well as business and technical support centers.

Baytown Technology and Engineering Complex
Founded in 1919, today the ExxonMobil Baytown Complex on the Texas Gulf Coast is one of the largest integrated and most technologically advanced refining and petrochemical complexes in the world. The Baytown Technology & Engineering Complex has been on-site since the 1920s and has produced innovative technology, such as the lithium-ion battery separator film and numerous plastics light-weighting technologies that help make our vehicles more fuel-efficient.

Calgary Research Centre
Imperial Oil’s Upstream research efforts support natural resources operations, with a major emphasis on environmental protection and oil sands development. The research center, located in Quarry Park, is one of the leading oil sands research facilities in the world.

European Technology Center (Brussels)
The European Technology Center (ETC) is one of ExxonMobil's three largest technology and research centers in the world. The Center researches applied process and product technology, and pioneers the development of business planning options.

ExxonMobil Research and Development Center (Clinton, NJ)
ExxonMobil’s research facility in Clinton, NJ is a key center of innovation that supports the company’s broad research and development programs focused on developing scalable energy solutions to meet global demand while minimizing environmental impacts and mitigating the risk of climate change. The newly expanded facility includes an engine testing center and a lubricant research and development blend plant.
Qatar
ExxonMobil Research Qatar
ExxonMobil Research Qatar was established as an organization to conduct research in areas of common interest to the State of Qatar and ExxonMobil. Currently, scientists and researchers are progressing a number of projects in the areas of environmental management, water reuse, LNG safety and coastal geology.
Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur Technology Center
The Kuala Lumpur Technology Center was founded in 2011 to provide technical, engineering and application support for ExxonMobil’s global Upstream, Downstream and chemical businesses.
Canada
Sarnia Technology Applications and Research
Imperial Oil’s Sarnia research center is developing new and improved products and processes. These include testing biofuels to confirm they will meet the rigors of the Canadian climate and improving hydroprocessing technologies to maximize on-road ultra-low-sulphur diesel production. The center also provides advanced technical support for ExxonMobil and its affiliates’ lubricants and specialties business.
China
Shanghai Technology Center
Shanghai is home to one of ExxonMobil’s largest customer-facing technology centers. Our Shanghai facility develops and delivers innovative solutions to our customers throughout China and Asia Pacific. Located in the Minhang District near the Jiao Tong University and East China Normal University, our state-of-the-art laboratories lead our product application and testing process to improve polymers, oils and other lubricants.

Upstream Research Company (Houston)
ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Downstream, Chemicals and XTO Energy companies and their associated service groups. The Laboratory at the Houston campus develops an array of industry-leading technologies that supports ExxonMobil’s continued leadership in exploration, development, production and gas commercialization.
