Offshore lubricant delivery in Houston
ExxonMobil, in partnership with local distributor, Belle Chasse, has completed our first offshore lubricants delivery in the Houston port area, enhancing our capabilities in the important hub. Over the summer, more than 10,000 gallons of Mobilgard™ 540 X was delivered to an LNG carrier by barge. The success of the operation has resulted in further deliveries.
The ability to deliver lubricants offshore in a busy shipping area, such as Houston, is important as it enables vessel operators to:
- Reduce time spent in port
- Lower the amount paid for docking fees
- Improve crew utilisation and efficiency
