Product Description

Prowaxx 978 HS is an ultra-low melt point, hydrofined soft wax product. It is designed to be used as a component in a final wax blend or emulsion. Prowaxx 978 HS is a translucent, soft, waxy material in the solid state and is a low viscosity, clear liquid when molten. It is produced as the co-product of deoiling fully-refined wax and is then catalytically hydrofined for exceptional water white color. It is a mixture primarily composed of branched, iso-paraffin hydrocarbons and normal paraffins.

 

Prowaxx 978 HS meets the requirements for the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) standards for indirect food contact substances and contains an oxidation inhibitor to improve stability.

 

ExxonMobil waxes are produced and controlled according to the ExxonMobil Product Quality Management System, EN ISO 9000 or equivalent standard.

 

Applications

Prowaxx 978 HS is used in a wide variety of applications and is subject to applicable laws and regulations in each jurisdiction*. Suitability in each application is the responsabilty of the user.

• Wax emulsion and blends

• Fire starters and logs

• Raw material for lubricants and greases

• Dust control for roofing granules, roads, fertilizer and others
