Plantation Pipe Line to expand service to Roanoke

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) recently approved a petition to expand service of the Plantation Pipe Line to Roanoke, Va. Pending all regulatory approvals, the project is expected to be in full service by April 2020.

Once in service, this expansion will provide an incremental 21,000 barrels of refined petroleum to the area per day through the installation of additional pumps and tanks. This will help to alleviate the supply capacity shortage from the discontinued service of the Colonial Pipeline to the market, which occurred in October 2018.
