Dr. Elizabeth Turner speaks at the World Candle Conference 2025
In May of 2025, ExxonMobil’s Dr. Elizabeth Turner spoke to a crowd of over 200 people from around the globe at the World Candle Congress, sponsored by the National Candle Association, European Candle Manufacturers Association and Alafave: Latin American Candle Manufacturers Association. In her comprehensive presentation, Dr. Turner discusses the redefinition of wax purity standards along scientific lines, a topic which has ramifications across the whole of the candle industry.
Dr. Turner also dispels several myths about the perceived dangers of paraffin and encourages industry leaders to be forward-thinking and innovative regarding the future of wax.
Dr. Turner sits on the National Candle Association’s Board of Directors.
