Controlling melting factors for superior adhesion performance
A staple product in food-grade packaging, home goods, furniture and more, hot melt adhesives need to be meticulously formulated to stay bonded and sealed, despite conditions. As hot melt adhesives are applied molten and then cooled, the products need to maintain flexibility amidst temperatures, both during production and long afterwards.
Created for exceptional performance at lower temperatures, ExxonMobil waxes are designed for use across hot melt adhesive applications. In particular, our Parvan™ waxes are ideal in adhesives used for flexible cardboard food containers. These waxes comply with the FDA regulatory requirements applicable to HMA used in food application* and have been proven to enhance fiber tear at lower temperatures which relates to improved adhesive performance at refrigerator and freezer temperatures. Through laboratory testing, our wax is proven to match industry standards and the various needs of our customers.
