Jet A and Jet A-1 are kerosene-type fuels. The primary difference between the two is freeze point, the temperature at which wax crystals disappear in a laboratory test.
Jet A, which is mainly used in the United States, must have a freeze point of minus 40ºC or below and does not typically contain static dissipator additive. Jet A-1 must have a freeze point of minus 47ºC or below and for locations outside the United States, this fuel normally contains static dissipator additive. There are other key differences between the manufacturing specification within the United States and Europe/Africa/Middle East/Australasia.
Def. Stan. 91-91 has an additional requirement for lubricity for Jet A-1.
ExxonMobil Jet A and ExxonMobil Jet A-1 meet the requirements of ASTM D1655 Standard Specification for Aviation Turbine Fuels. ExxonMobil Jet A-1 also complies with U.K. DEF STAN 91-91, and the JIG (Joint Inspection Group) Aviation Fuel Requirements for Jointly Operated Systems (Check List). In all cases, the most recent issue of relevant specifications applies to the product supplied.
ExxonMobil Aviation Gasolines are leaded fuels satisfying the requirements of ASTM D910, Standard Specification for Aviation Gasolines and DEF STAN 91-90 (DERD 2485). Critical properties must be controlled within defined limits for Aviation Gasoline to comply with ASTM D910 and DEF STAN 91-90 (DERD 2485) specifications.
ExxonMobil supplies two grades of Aviation Gasoline: Aviation Gasoline 100 (dyed green) is excellent for use in piston engine-powered private planes, most commercial aircraft and combat-type planes during military training procedures. This grade is available in a number of regions internationally.
Aviation Gasoline 100LL (dyed blue) is a lower lead version of Aviation Gasoline 100 (0.56g lead/litre Max). It is also excellent for use in piston engine-powered private, commercial and military training aircraft. Aviation Gasoline 100LL has been approved by the major aircraft engine manufacturers for use in aircraft engines originally designed for operation on the following grades: 80/87, 100/130 and the discontinued 91/98. This grade is generally available in most regions worldwide.
Note that properties critical to aviation use (for example, vapor pressure and cleanliness) are not controlled to the same degree in automotive motor gasoline manufacture and handling. ExxonMobil aviation does not support or approve the use of Automotive Gasoline as aircraft fuel.
Mobil AGL™ is a synthetic aviation gear lubricant designed to help civilian and military operators ensure the reliability of their helicopters’ transmissions, despite operating under extremely challenging conditions.
Formulated from base fluids with inherently high viscosity indexes and a unique, proprietary additive system, Mobil AGL offers measurably better wear protection than Type I (MIL-L-7808) and Type II (MIL-L-23699) turbine oils, as well as wear resistance that is especially beneficial to military and other helicopters operating under unusual stresses.
Reasons to trust Mobil AGL:
- Extend equipment life
- Minimize unexpected downtime
- Lengthen time between overhaul (TBO)
- Reduce operating costs
ExxonMobil and Japan Airlines: A legacy of passion and partnership
Reasons to trust Mobil Jet Oil 387
- Designed to deliver optimal engine performance and help operators avoid unscheduled/premature engine maintenance

Mobil Aero™ HF Series aviation hydraulic fluids are designed to meet the demanding requirements of commercial and military aircraft applications. These high quality formulations have a long history of excellent performance and provide long, trouble-free service over a wide range of operating conditions.
Mobil Aero™ HFA and Mobil Aero™ HF aviation hydraulic fluids are formulated for aircraft systems where use of hydrocarbon-based hydraulic fluids is required. They are low-viscosity products, high VI (viscosity index) fluids with excellent low-temperature properties, good antiwear performance and good chemical stability. Mobil Aero HFA and HF hydraulic fluids are composed of mineral base oil stock and contain shear-stable VI improvers.
Reasons to trust Mobil Aero HF
- A high viscosity index (VI), which allows equipment operation over a wide range of temperatures
- Excellent low-temperature properties to provide high performance operation in low ambient conditions
- Good chemical and oxidation stability to resist the formation of acidic constituents, varnishes and deposits
- Meets "super clean" requirements of US Spec. MIL-PRF-5606 (Aero HF), ensuring reliable performance of pumps, servo-valves and other hydraulic system components
