ExxonMobil Voyager Issue 27: November 2019
Dear ExxonMobil marine partner,
Welcome to the third and final edition of ExxonMobil Voyager this year.
As we race towards the end of the year, one of the biggest – if not the biggest – changes our industry has had to face looms large on the horizon. Inevitably, this issue of ExxonMobil Voyager is centred on the final preparations for the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) global sulphur cap.
With just a couple of months before 1 January 2020, we’re continuing to provide as much information and guidance as we can to help you successfully implement your final plans on your journey to 2020.
With that in mind, we’re pleased to share the latest episode of our ‘Talking Points’ video series. This time, back in Singapore, we threw around opinions with Teekay Tankers CEO, Kevin MacKay, and Head of Ship Management, Ray McNamara, during a game of French boules.
We’ve also announced the availability of our latest cylinder oil, Mobilgard™ 540, specifically formulated to help vessel operators safely and efficiently comply with IMO 2020.
We recently signed an agreement with China Merchants Energy Shipping (CMES) that builds on five years of successful cooperation and will cover lubricants and fuels, digital transformation, advanced engines and on-board training. We also published a white paper to help the owners of the 70,000-plus vessels affected by US Environmental Protection Agency regulations better understand how to choose environmentally acceptable lubricants (EALs).
As always, thank you for your continued partnership, and we look forward to catching up with many of our valued customers during the last trade shows of this year – Marintec China and the International WorkBoat Show.
We wish you well in the final leg of your IMO 2020 journey, and as always, our dedicated team is here to help. If you’re looking for any last-minute information or guidance, we’d love to hear from you.
