ExxonMobil helps fishing vessel save more than €4,000 by reducing grease consumption

The fishing vessel Ramblers worked with ExxonMobil to reduce its level of grease consumption and operational costs. This collaboration resulted in a saving of 250% on grease consumed and annual savings of more than €4,000.

To mitigate the corrosive wash off effect of seawater, the vessel was using a high amount of its conventional Lithium EP 2 grease. ExxonMobil was able to recommend switching to Mobilgrease™ XHP 222 which is specifically formulated to provide high wash off resistance and load carrying properties. This drastically reduced the need for frequent re-greasing, increasing service life.*
